Where it all started

1955 – Our story began with the opening of our first shop at the top of Prestatyn High Street, where Oliva Grace Beauty Salon now stands.

Welcome to N. Cumberlidge Jewellers, a proud family-owned business with a rich history dating back to 1955. Established by Norman Cumberlidge, a skilled horologist, our journey began at the top of Prestatyn High Street before moving to our current location in 1966. For over seven decades, we have been honored to serve the community of Prestatyn, standing the test of time as a trusted jeweller for life’s most special moments.

Our story is one of tradition and dedication, passed down through three generations. In 1978, Norman’s son, Stephen, joined the business, bringing fresh energy and a commitment to maintaining our core values of quality and service. Stephen took over the reins in 1989, continuing to grow the business while preserving its reputation for excellence. In 2006, the third generation of the family, James, joined the team, bringing with him a modern vision while respecting the traditions that built the business. James officially took over in 2022, ensuring that N. Cumberlidge Jewellers continues to thrive and evolve while remaining true to its roots. With James’s two young sons already showing interest, the family legacy is set to continue well into the future.
